![]() ![]() Something is wrong, SteelSeries the company should really step back and re evaluate their products When a company sells a product, that fails in less than a year, then charges you over half the cost of a brand new one. ![]() Over half the cost just to replace a cord that should have lasted longer The cost of a brand new headset with a wire is 90$! ![]() Steel series low quality wire didn't even last a year. To compare I have a wired headset from the 1990s that have been used for well over 20 years and it's good. With tax that's $54 to replace my a single wireįirst they cheap out on the cord with a cheap supplier, causing it to stop working way way to soon. Within a year the cable broke, rendering the wired headphones uselessĪ replacement wire is 11$ on their website, okay not great, but not too bad This company and it's customer service receive a big fat F rating from me. They offered me a 15% discount which is a joke because they offer 10% off for anyone who signs up for emails, or a student discount of 15%. ![]() Great, thanks for telling me you sold me an expensive product that broke due to poor design, but good news, I can spend another $300 on one of their new products which is designed better…. I was told about their brand new headset which is "built more sturdily". I explained the design flaw issue and that they needed to do better, I explained how I took care of them and how that sat on a stand when not in use on my desk. I contacted customer service and they basically said, we don't care it's out of warranty. I feel scammed for a nearly $300 pair of headphones breaking like this before 2 years. So I google the issue, turns out I'm not the only one (shocker) apparently this is a well know and common issue, and everyone's mad. You read that right, my $300 headset is held together using plastic, that is the part that captures the rod the ear cup's rotate around. After a little over a year and a half BOTH ear cups have dislocated from the headset and the PLASTIC HINGES have broken. I got a steel series arctic 9x wireless headset from GameStop for my birthday present, to use with my Xbox series x. ![]()
